TAKING CARE OF YOUR FLOORING
A unique piece deserves special careOur floorings are made of natural wood pieces, which are varnished to provide them with greater protection against scratches, wear and tear, stains and other effects of everyday use.
In order to optimally preserve the product’s original protection, please keep in mind the following maintenance tips:
Use felt under chairs.
Use protective mats under office chairs.
Use a doormat if the flooring is installed in the entrance area.
Cleaning
We recommended frequent dry cleaning using a broom or a dust mop in order to remove sand, gravel, and other elements that may scratch the flooring’s surface.
CLEANING PRODUCTS
Multi-purpose cleaners should not be used because they tend to leave a matte layer on the flooring’s surface. If you need to use a cleaning product, please check directly the products provided by our varnish manufacturer at www.bona.com.
Please do not use a wet mop or wet cleaning products. If you need to clean with water, do it as little as possible and squeeze the mop very well to avoid excessive moisture.
REVIVING THE APPEARANCE OF THE VARNISH
In case of excessive wear or if scratches appear, a wood varnish restorer can be used to repair or improve the appearance of the flooring.
In the case of floorings installed in ordinary indoor rooms, we recommend that a varnish restorer is applied four times a year, making sure that the surface is completely clean first.
